Team LNT kicks off winter test program

Panonz Esperante

In conditions more akin to Andros ice racing, Team LNT continued to test their new Panoz Esperante.

A freezing morning saw the testing delayed whilst the frost thawed, untill mid morning when team boss Lawrence Tomlinson was the bravest and exited a very icy pitlane.

Gently circulating, Tomlinson was gradually building up, feeling for the revised suspension and steering; pitting after a handful of laps, the conclusion was positive - Steering responsive and the car now more confidence inspiring.

Still a lot of work to do though, with LT reporting the cars too stiff and nervous. Alan Mugglestone sets to and starts working with the dampers and roll bars.

After lunch Warren Hughes braves the conditions and works with Tomlinson and Mugglestone, making continued changes on the suspension, which brings promising gains in feel and laptime. The day draws to an early end with the afternoon freeze interrupting anymore conclusive work.

On to Donnington for two cars later this week, (Thurs). Then the intensive program moves on to France and Spain for some exclusive testing, with more development parts coming in from Panoz, Georgia, it seems this winter will be very busy.
