Team LNT test at Pembrey
Day 1

Yet another wet day of testing for team LNT today, 7th March 2006. The morning dawned with bad news for the team. Not only having to delay the start of testing due to standing water on the track, but also the team had two of their drivers stuck at Wolverhampton airport due to their helicopter being grounded.

The aftertnoon arrived and the weather started to get a little better with the rain easing. Richard Dean and Lawrence Tomlinson had arrived and Tom Kimber-Smith took to the track in the #81 car to do a sighter lap. The track seemed to be in better condition than earlier in the day, so testing could finally get underway.

Luke Hines was also present at the Welsh circuit to familiarise himself with the car and to get comfortable. Driving the #81 car, Hines managed to do a very impressive lap time by the end of the day.

Kimber-Smith drove the #82 car to do development work on the Avon tyres that he will be using in the British GT championship, and the Pirelli tyres that the team will use in the LMS.

The team will be back at the circuit again tomorrow - 8th March.
