Simon Finnis has worked with multi-championship winning Manor Motorsport in recent years but has left the outfit to face new challenges.
“I had a great time at Manor and they have given me the engineering experience I intend to apply to LNT Automotive, helping them maintain and improve upon the successes of the season so far” said Simon.
LNT Automotive Managing Director Richard Dean commented, “We are delighted to have secured the services of such a talented young engineer who has a fantastic and well earned reputation. With a huge development programme ahead for both Panoz and Ginetta coupled with our racing programmes still in full flow, Simon’s experience will be invaluable to the continued success of both marques”.
Team LNT are looking to build upon the success so farin 2006 from winning the GT2 class at Le Mans, currently leading the British GT Championship and second place in the Le Mans Series championship.
Ginetta cars are meanwhile in the test and development stages of the new up-dates for the G20 race car.
Simon’s first Team LNT race outing is this weekend the 12th and 13th August at Rockingham as Young Guns Tom Kimber-Smith and Luke Hines take to the track to defend their British GT championship lead.
“I’m really looking forward to a new challenge and getting my first Team LNT race under my belt this weekend” Simon concluded.
