British GT - Rockingham

The British GT squad are out in force once again this weekend 12th - 13th August. The young driver pairing of 21 year old Tom Kimber-Smith and 24 year old Luke Hines are out to defend their championship lead on rivals Tim Mullen and Chris Niarchos.

Last time out at Snetterton there was a bit of a tyre dispute. Friday's warm up suggests there should be some closer racing this time out.

The Ferrari topped both timesheets at the conclusiuon of Friday morning and afternoon sessions by 0.9 seconds with a time of 1:22.270 and 0.5 seconds (clocking a 1:21.537 time) respectively. Not a concern of Team LNT - who were working on consistency, tyre compounds and car balance, but reports from the drivers were positive.

Joining Team LNT's Panoz and Scuderia's Ferrari in the GT2 category will be Emotional Engineering with a Vauxhall Monaro. Eclipse are at the circuit with their Mosler but encountered engine problems early on in the morning session and did not appear for the afternoon session.

So onto the Team Co-ordinator's birthday celebrations afterwards. Marisia's 25 years young today (11th August). It's a bit windy for the planned barbecue so it's plan 'b' - the grill in the truck.
