Team LNT sign Rob Bell for 2006 Le Mans Series Panoz team.

28 year old Rob Bell today agreed terms with Team LNT to race the Panoz Esperante GT2 car in the full 2006 Le Mans Series. LNT have the European agency for Panoz and will run two Esperante’s in the 2006 championship, a five round series of 6 hour races. Bell now completes the team’s driver line up for the European championship and joins Warren Hughes, Lawrence Tomlinson and Richard Dean.
Richard Dean, LNT Managing Director had this to say at the signing “Rob will be a great asset to the driver line up at LNT. We tested with him in Nogaro back in November with the Panoz and he was on the pace immediately. Both Alan Mugglestone and I have worked with Rob in Formula Ford and Formula Renault before so we are already well aware of his ability and speed. Rob now has the opportunity to show his ability in sports cars while contributing to our ambitions of winning with the Panoz and proving this cars potential.”
Bell’s previous sports car experience came in 2005 with Aston Martin at Nurburgring where the team won in the Le Mans Series race in August as team mate to Darren Turner.
Team LNT continue with their extensive testing programme in the UK and mainland Europe throughout February and March before taking part in the Sebring 12 hour race on March 18th.
