Team LNT Enter Pirelli Development Programme

Yorkshire-based GT Sportscar racers Team LNT are to be a Technical Partner for Pirelli tyres during the 2007 season.

As in 2006, the tyre manufacturer will supply the Team’s two Panoz Esperante GTLM cars with rubber for their Le Mans Series races and the 24 hr Le Mans race. Whilst on the Pirellis during last season, their Panoz cars achieved 2nd and 3rd overall Championship standings in LMS and took a class win at 24hr Le Mans.

“It’s an honour being selected to be part of Pirelli’s Development Programme” said Team LNT Technical Director Alan Mugglestone. “It will mean Team LNT will be undertaking tests in Europe on Pirelli’s behalf to develop constructions and compounds that not only suit the Panoz, but develop tyres for the overall racing market.”

The first official outing for the 2007 season is on March 25th - 26th at the Paul Ricard LMS test.
