Only at Le Mans is the scrutineering process an event in itself.
The process of checking a car's eligibility to race is normally just tucked away at the back of the pits. Not at Le Mans.
Over two days, the cars are removed from the circuit to arrive in the centre of Le Mans at the Place du Jacobins for their allotted time slot.
This morning, Team LNT's two Panoz Esperantes were paraded in front of crowds of people who had attended to see and get up close to, the cars that they will be watching at the weekend.
The International press also take this opportunity for photographs and interviews - all six Team LNT drivers took a turn on the Motors TV stage and broadcast live.
By lunchtime, the Panoz cars were returned to the pits for race preparation to continue...
